Wandering through Wood Green

I was on a mission with, and at the behest of, the Art Director to find a shop – knowing that it was closed on the day we went a-searching.  I’m still trying to understand the logic of this.  Apart from an issuette with a flaky memory card it was a good day photographically.

I’ve been before, and I’ll likely go again.  the pics below are from a trip I took last month …


This Grey Heron (Ardea cinerea) decided to clear off as soon as I arived.  I had one tripod leg out when I spotted him, so it instantly turned into a monopod.



The Art Director allegedly doesn’t like geese, but loved the above when it wandered up with Mum, Dad, and sibling.  Unfortunately, it turns out this is an infant Egyptian goose (Alopochen aegyptiacus).  Oops.
